"Limen", the new collection of Evelin Fink embraces resilience in the realm of liminality
The word limen refers to a transitional state of transformation following bold steps we take: the time and space where the old fades, but the new structures of life are not yet developed.
Following the footsteps of the previous ones, the collection draws inspiration from the Hungarian Goldberger Institute's heritage in its unique patterns that symbolize the unyielding feminine strength that remains unwavering amidst the challenges we encounter while venturing into unexplored territories. The curves of the lines - symbolizing our path - are broken by circles, referring to the difficulties that arise in such life situations.
MATERIALS
Crafted from a diverse array of exquisite materials, the collection explores the contrast between rigidness and fluidity, a signature design motif in the work of Evelin Fink. The ethereal and delicate silk organza, jointly with vegan silk, and recycled polyester, add soft movements to the solidness of cupro, Piñatex, and genuine leather, embracing the duality of femininity.
GROUNDING EARTH-TONE
The tensions of the liminal space find expression in the juxtaposition of grounding earth-tone ecru-olive greens, blacks, and pale nutshell colors with striking statement reds. This odd harmony captures the core tense sentiment of the liminal experience.
PIÑATEX
Innovative sustainable materials, usual from EVELINFINK, are used in this collection: Seaqual, which is made by recycling ocean plastic, vegan leather produced from pineapple leaf fibers, Piñatex in paprika color, and leather from sustainable sources. These together make the collection a bold and sustainable step toward the future.
SEAQUAL
Committed to sustainability, Limen also introduces a groundbreaking material known as Seaqual. This innovative fabric, derived from recycled ocean plastic, along with the paprika-colored Piñatex, a plant-based alternative to leather made of pineapple leaf fibers, and sustainably sourced real leather, are making the collection future-orientated by taking a bold step towards a more sustainable fashion.
